I love food… and maybe a little too much as I once used to weigh over 200 lbs! However, that is in the past and I’m now a Certified Personal Trainer and physique competitor from the Comox Valley on beautiful Vancouver Island. In order to help promote healthy lifestyle changes, this blog will be all the recipes I have tried, liked, modified, and/or acquired.
Getting healthy and fit can be hard to do, but with diet (aka, how you fuel your body) being 80% of success, it’s important to have an arsenal of healthy recipes available! There’s lots of resources out there, but this blog is of tried and true recipes!
I also want to make having treats “easy”. Cutting out refined carbohydrates (aka white sugar, white bread, white pasta, white rice) is a great first step, but every now and then, it’s nice to have a treat- and I feel it’s essential to have a cheat meal or two every week- this helps keep you sane! I want to provide healthier options of traditional treats- and not only that, I’ll be providing recipes for single servings or to share… no more making a huge pan and “having” to eat the whole thing yourself!
